At our annual Lavender Weekend, we usually offer Lavender Lemonade as a special treat for our visitors. We’ve had tons of people ask for the recipe over the years!
Here is our favorite Lavender Lemonade Recipe……
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 to 1 Tbsp. dried lavender buds ( about 1-3 Tbsp. if using fresh lavender)
3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
8 cups of water
* Combine sugar with 4 cups water in a medium pan. Bring to boil over medium heat. Stirring to dissolve the sugar.
* Add the lavender to the sugar water, cover, and remove from the heat. Let stand at least 20 minutes (up to a few hours for a stronger infusion)
* Strain the mixture and discard the lavender. Pour into a pitcher. Add lemon juice and the remaining 4 cups of water. Stir well.
* Pour into glasses filled with ice, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
